Nathan Kimsey just gets better ....

After a great result at the French Men's Amateur Championship, Nathan Kimsey has continued to put together some really solid results ..... he comfortably qualified for the Match-play stages of the British Amateur Championships at Troon, Scotland. After a successful first match he was drawn to play Robert Karlsson for a place in the last 16. Robert is the No1 Swedish player who is now ranked 16th in the World. Nathan, now ranked 240 in the World (which is good and getting better) played great golf but lost the match 1 down.

Following this Nathan played in The Open Regional Qualifier at The London Club where he shot 73 but lost in a play off for an automatic place at the Final Local Qualifier .... fortunately his reserve ranking proved good enough for qualification. He is drawn to play at Southport & Ainsdale GC with two ex England internationals as his partners Nick Dougherty and Gary Lockerbie, both of whom were on EGU training when Keith was National Coach ..... So go to it Nathan and the best of luck!

Then it was off to the Brabazon Championship at Walton Heath in Surry where he shot 74-76-73-73 = 296 total and a tie for 9th position - well done again Nathan.
